training using the PWR simulator
Qualification
Since the introduction of nuclear energy production in the Netherlands, it has been the task of NRG (formerly ECN Nuclear Energy) to develop and maintain the knowledge and skills of the management and operation staff of nuclear power plants. A wide range of courses on nuclear technology has been developed. The unique combination of NRG's experienced staff, nuclear installations and simulator for training purposes, makes our courses useful to a wide range of organizations.
NRG has also organized many workshops and conferences on nuclear topics like waste management, reactor technology, accident management and the fuel cycle.
In 1995 ECN, now part of NRG, for the first time organized a course on nuclear rules and regulations. Since then, a short version of this course is included in most courses on nuclear technology that NRG organizes on a regular basis.
Curriculum
Some courses on nuclear technology are:
- Introduction to Nuclear Power
- Nuclear Technology
