In-Service Inspections

You are looking for an independent  and experienced In-Service Inspection (ISI) department to determine the integrity of the primary components in your nuclear plant. A qualified ISI contractor well prepared to perform automated non-destructive testing (NDT).

The NRG ISI group has been performing automated non-destructive testing on primary systems of pressurized water reactors (PWR), boiling water reactors (BWR) and research reactors for forty years. NRG ISI has an excellent reputation among plant operators and regulators.

The NRG In-Service Inspections group is specialized in automated NDT for the nuclear industry. To perform automated NDT on primary components like the steam generator, main coolant pump, welded pipelines etc., we develop the necessary robotic/manipulators ourselves. NRG ISI also offers UT-data acquisition software. This includes the fully integrated analysis part that allows us to precisely detect and assess material defects. Also integrated is a 4-axis motor control.

Specific inspection qualifications are routine for us and clients can be assured that the In-Service Inspection performance during the outage will be efficient. Inspection of austenitic and transition welds is one of specializations in which we gained much experience.
